SHADE is a collective of DJS/promoters/creatives dedicated to bringing together the spirit of the underground music scene and LQBTQIA culture through unforgettable parties and events.
Following a successful 3 year run of the V.O.G.U.E. party, the city’s first night dedicated to Ballroom Culture, Shade was launched at Cakeshop Seoul in 2016 with the intent to push the boundaries of LGBTQIA scene further, ensuring a safe, welcoming, creative space for the Seoul community and beyond. Following SHADE’s success, its sister party FEMME was created in 2017 focused on female/ non-binary and queer identifying artists, while creating a safe space platform for all.
Our core mission is to contribute to the creation of inclusive spaces, home to creative self-expression and all underground music lovers around the world.
